LA VERDAD

Este sitio es acerca la teología reformada tal como fue enseñada por los grandes e influyentes reformadores del siglo 16. El trabajo de ellos cambió la forma de ver el Cristianismo en términos de teología y liturgia. Fueron ellos que viendo la corrupción en la existente iglesia Católica desearon reformarla de acuerdo a Escritura, trayendo consigo la mas grande revolución religiosa y social que la historia de la iglesia haya sido testigo. Su legado sigue hoy en este siglo, y su influencia cambió Europa y dio nacimiento a los Estados Unidos de América.

EL PROYECTO DE LA ASAMBLEA DE WESTMINSTER


El Proyecto de la Asamblea de Westminster (1643-1653) fue el mas largo comité parlamentario de la guerra civil Inglesa y el último de los mas grandes sínodos despues de la Reforma. La Asamblea es tal vez mejos conocida como el cuerpo de teólogos que elaboraron el credo detras de la Confesion de Fe y el Largo y Corto Catecismos, los documentos los cuales han guiado las Iglesias Reformadas y Presbiterianas por siglos.

Los principales Documentos de la Asamblea de Westminster son siete volumenes: La Confesion de Fe, el Catecismo Largo, el Catecismo corto, el directorio para adoración pública, el directorio para el Gobierno de la Iglesia, y una coleccion de reportes menores. y el Salterio.

El poyecto de la Asamblea de Westminster contiene documentos de los participantes los cuales ayudan a entender todo el contexto teológico y doctrinal que llevó a la realización de la Asamblea.
